Dreamers' Den
|
If you have a fantastic money making idea or must-have product, then this is your opportunity to pitch it to a panel of expert investors.
This is not for the faint hearted, as not only will would-be investees be pitching to recognised high net worth individuals with investment expertise, they will also have to sell their company and themselves in front of a packed crowd.
The Den will consist of two 45-minute sessions. There are 5 slots available per session. Each slot will consist of the 5 companies each giving 5 minute pitches with 3 minutes for the panel questions.
The times for the Dreamers’ Den are 11.30am until 12.15pm for session one and 1.30pm until 2.15pm for session two. |
Unlike the TV show, this is not being done for entertainment’s sake. This is a serious, massive opportunity for individuals and organisations to make money. People are not invited into the Den to be ‘shot down’ and humiliated in front of an audience. On the contrary, this is being done to unearth Yorkshire’s next big thing. Do you have the potential? We would love to hear from you!
Any age, any background and any product or service.

Yorkshire Association of Business Angels (YABA)
Yorkshire Association of Business Angels (YABA) is a unique regional forum which brings together the finance and business expertise of Business Angels with entrepreneurs and their new business ideas. |
Where conventional financing often fails to serve the smaller 'higher risk' investment opportunities, Business Angels are now widely accepted as a vital source of funding that bridges the gap in the equity market.
Since its inception in 1995, the YABA membership has grown steadily to over 180 Angel and Associate members. YABA meets regularly at various venues throughout the Yorkshire and Humberside region to see entrepreneurs present their ideas to a highly receptive audience and experience shows that some ten per cent of ideas receive financial support from Angels and this investment, in turn, often releases further funding from financial institutions.
YABA is non-profit making, charging only a modest membership fee to Angels and a small administration charge to entrepreneurs and takes no commission whatsoever from any funds raised.
YABA is supported by Yorkshire Forward (www.yorkshire-forward.com) – the Yorkshire & Humber Regional Development Agency.
