Pracademic Degree
One of the UK’s leading Professors of Entrepreneurship, John Thompson from Huddersfield University, in association with Michael Gerber, DreamStart and 100 successful entrepreneurs have come together to create a new undergraduate course where the student gets to create and run the perfect turn-key business model whilst studying for a degree, a BA (Hons) in Enterprise Development.
This is the first degree course of its kind, anywhere.
This degree is open to anyone of any age with a genuine interest in business and enterprise. The individual may well be wrestling with the issue of whether to directly go into business when they leave Sixth Form or head off to University to study a degree course. It is also open to individuals who are affiliated to Enterprise programmes throughout Yorkshire.

The Pracademic (because it is both Practical and Academic) offers the opportunity for 15 students to be pioneers on the degree course which combines a theoretical business framework with a practical outcome of starting and running a business. It starts in September 2008 and we are holding a half day introductory seminar at the Royal Armouries on 19th February for potential under graduates.
